Hi Tim, Thank you for checking it. I believe it is one possible solution, but it is quite hard to assign not used ID to Iceberg, considering the schema evolution in Delta and new columns can be added in future. And further more I am worried if Iceberg will allow us to set the ID of the element level higher than the value's ID and if Iceberg can load the parquet file correctly.
