This still does not exist but would allow folks to leverage Paimon for its innovative write ingestion properties with LSM structure and then expose to other formats for reads. Paimon can create [Iceberg metadata](https://paimon.apache.org/docs/master/iceberg/overview/) and the Iceberg support is very good. So today it is possible to convert Paimon to Iceberg and expose tables to Iceberg compatible engines. I am using it in production successfully. XTable support for Paimon would enable other conversions like Paimon to Hudi and Delta which could help Paimon adoption, especially for anyone using the Delta/Databricks ecosystem. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
