Chuan Liu created HADOOP-8935: --------------------------------- Summary: Make 'winutils ls' show the SID if the owner does not exist on the system Key: HADOOP-8935 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HADOOP-8935 Project: Hadoop Common Issue Type: Bug Reporter: Chuan Liu Priority: Minor
Right now, 'winutils ls' will fail if the file belongs to a user SID that does not exist on the system. E.g. the user is deleted. Previously, this is only a hypothesis scenario. However, we have seen some failures in the Azure deployment where the OS is re-imaged, and renders the old SID invalid. [~jgordon] proposed to display the SID itself in the invalid SID case similar to the situation on Linux. This JIRA is created to track this proposal. -- This message is automatically generated by JIRA.
