bq. Worse than that - setting fs.default.name to "/foo" actually causes a stack
overflow in FileSystem.get(). It never makes it to fixName().
Aaron, can you please see if HDFS-51 is the same issue? If yes, can you close
that as duplicate? One less open issue :) Thanks!
