maybe my test case is not sufficiently deterministic so it works differently
for you. I replaced "Thread.currentThread.interrupt()" with "this.interrupt()"
in the code I pasted above.
The test still fails
(and regardless, I don't think that can affect the underlying problem that if
something interrupts a thread that is doing RPC and that thread is blocked on
the channel, it gets closed automatically)
