Kai Zheng updated HADOOP-12955: ------------------------------- Attachment: HADOOP-12955-v1.patch Uploaded a patch for the fix. The root causes for the crash when calling {{Java_org_apache_hadoop_io_erasurecode_ErasureCodeNative_getLibraryName}} are: 1) the library isn't loaded; 2) {{get_library_name}} returns pointer to local variable. Test passed locally as follows. {noformat} [root@zkdesk hadoop-3.0.0-SNAPSHOT]# bin/hadoop checknative 16/03/24 17:05:49 INFO bzip2.Bzip2Factory: Successfully loaded & initialized native-bzip2 library system-native 16/03/24 17:05:49 INFO zlib.ZlibFactory: Successfully loaded & initialized native-zlib library Native library checking: hadoop: true /home/workspace/hadoop3/hadoop-dist/target/hadoop-3.0.0-SNAPSHOT/lib/native/libhadoop.so.1.0.0 zlib: true /lib64/libz.so.1 snappy: true /lib64/libsnappy.so.1 lz4: true revision:99 bzip2: true /lib64/libbz2.so.1 openssl: true /lib64/libcrypto.so ISA-L: true /home/workspace/hadoop3/hadoop-dist/target/hadoop-3.0.0-SNAPSHOT/lib/native/libisal.so.2 {noformat} [~cmccabe], sorry for not catching this in HADOOP-11996 because I forgot test the command while providing later revision of patches there.
