Allen: if something says "MapReduce" then it really means "any yarn app". Too
much of hadoop code (even UGI) is tagged as limited private when it has escaped
the nest.
If I'd known this would have broken existing code, I'd have pushed for a better
solution. Every incompatible feature that goes into 3.x moves 3.x further away
from being something people will want to adopt.
