Duo Zhang commented on HADOOP-13866:
------------------------------------

Have we published a 2.x hadoop final releases with netty-4.1.0.Beta? If no I
think we'd better upgrade it to 4.1.x.Final. Otherwise I think it is OK to keep
the old dependency. And since the upgrading does not acquire any source
changes, I think in HBase we could just exclude the netty dependency from
hadoop and use our own. Let's keep an eye on the later hadoop 2.x releases to
make sure that they do not use 4.1.0.Beta specific unstable APIs.

Thanks.
