I checked on [Nexus|https://repository.apache.org/]. It looks like the releases
were staged like that. See e.g.

* For 2.7.5 it's very strange, because some sub-projects like hadoop-common
and hadoop-hdfs do have sources

[https://repository.apache.org/content/repositories/releases/org/apache/hadoop/hadoop-hdfs/2.7.5/]
while others don't.
* For 2.8.3, 2.9.0, and 3.0.0 sources are consistently not there.
* The 3.0.1 RC0, which is currently staged, seems to have all sources. Didn't
check all sub-projects though

I will try to debug this when I release 2.7.6. May be we need to update the
[HowToRelease|https://wiki.apache.org/hadoop/HowToRelease] runbook.
