Given that this Jira is stuck I will change it to use a config value in the
viewfs config.
I am not sure if this is the right solution and in the short term i preferred
my original solution till we figure out the right one.
But there are more important things HDFS needs so I rather compromise than
debate.
I am testing the updated patch and will post it shortly.
