Akira Ajisaka commented on HADOOP-14739: ---------------------------------------- Now I'm thinking boot2docker specific part can be removed in {{./start-build-env.sh}} and BUILDING.txt can be changed from {noformat} On Linux: Install Docker and run this command: $ ./start-build-env.sh On Mac: First make sure Virtualbox and docker toolbox are installed. You can use docker toolbox as described in http://docs.docker.com/mac/step_one/. $ docker-machine create --driver virtualbox \ --virtualbox-memory "4096" hadoopdev $ eval $(docker-machine env hadoopdev) $ ./start-build-env.sh {noformat} to {noformat} Install Docker and run this command: $ ./start-build-env.sh {noformat} > Add build instruction for docker for Mac instead of docker toolbox. > ------------------------------------------------------------------- > > Key: HADOOP-14739 > URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HADOOP-14739 > Project: Hadoop Common > Issue Type: Improvement > Components: build, documentation > Reporter: Akira Ajisaka > Priority: Minor > Labels: newbie > > HADOOP-12575 added build instruction for docker toolbox. > Now Docker for Mac (https://www.docker.com/docker-mac) is available and it > can skip some procedures written in BUILDING.txt. -- This message was sent by Atlassian JIRA (v7.6.3#76005) --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: common-issues-unsubscr...@hadoop.apache.org For additional commands, e-mail: common-issues-h...@hadoop.apache.org
