I tried to compile trunk with Zulu JDK 11.0.3 and succeeded (with default javac version 1.8) and I can verify that TestHttpServer#testJersey() passed (on both JDK 8u212 and 11.0.3). I just tried again and it still passed. I also can confirm trunk compiles with *-Djavac.version=11* option but TestHttpServer#testJersey() fails as you mentioned. The failure looks very similar to Hadoop (trunk compiled with javac 1.8) running unit tests on 11.0.2.
