steveloughran commented on issue #1115: HADOOP-16207 testMR failures URL: https://github.com/apache/hadoop/pull/1115#issuecomment-513237370 Latest iteration should be more informative on a failure; I think I'd like to go one step further and see if I could actually put the logs of the failing MR app into the test log, which is a matter of: > Given the app Id and path of the yarn cluster logs, identify the stdout file of the first failing AM execution; load this and then log it such that it appears in the -output.txt file of the test. This will ensure that even a jenkins test failure where you can't see the failures will still include the job failure details
