thanks for that update; does imply that without an upgrade in the ubuntu image,
a fix in the library or somehow we can get off the library, we won't be able to
cut releases. maybe there's a different version which works.
bq. Not sure whether any of this is necessary at runtime,
python isn't needed at runtime; java, maybe openssl, kerberos libs, depending
on what you want to do; the rest is in the native libs. some of the compressor
codecs don't get included in the asf binary bundle as they are GPL
