Thanks @pan3793 .
At the moment this is my personal development branch, there are still some
issues to fix and clean up on trunk before I can make a focused patch for the
Subject and Thread changes.
All method names, etc can be considered placeholders for now, we can discuss
those details once I am able to clean up this patch.
