**Dependencies**
Stacked on HADOOP-19970 (#8699): the first three commits are that PR, so
review the last 18. #8699 has to land first.
Merge order:
1. MAPREDUCE-7545 (#8754) — `TaskId.hashCode` depends on the JVM, and
#8699's classpath change is what exposes it. Needed for #8699 to go green.
2. HADOOP-19970 (#8699) — hard dependency; this branch is stacked on it.
Not a code dependency, but it clears the only failing test here:
3. HADOOP-19979 (#8717), and HADOOP-19987 (#8724) in its chain — #8717 fixes
`TestSSLHttpServerMTLS.testUntrustedClientIsRejected`, the sole failure in
the last two runs on this branch. It asserts `SSLHandshakeException`, but
under TLS 1.3 the refusal surfaces as a `SocketException`, so it fails or
passes by environment. Until #8717 lands, expect that one test to need a
re-run.
Already in trunk, no action needed: MAPREDUCE-7544, HADOOP-19986,
HADOOP-19951.
