ASF GitHub Bot commented on HADOOP-19976:
-----------------------------------------
steveloughran opened a new pull request, #8811:
URL: https://github.com/apache/hadoop/pull/8811
- new profile: repeatable
- sets flag hadoop.build.repeatable which can be picked up
note, this version uses xmlstarlet for some of its work, which isn't as
critical as it was when the asf parent pom was added (the apache trusted
release people advocated this, but it broke hadoop annotations, so this pr
doesn't include that work at all). Can revert to create-release doing sed abuse
of pom files rather than xpath based manipulation, wrong as it is.
makes repeatable
- source
- binary distro, jar and tar.gz, across x86 and arm docker builds (tested)
- across locales
not repeatable
- release notes, due to timestamp and jira queries
- site (due to release notes)
- yetus (timestamp)
other release-related changes to get this all working
- Maven site => 3.22.0
- move to modern site.xml schema
- fix to https urls
- propagate -Prelease and timestamp info down to build
- asfrelease profile sets --repeatable option
BUILDING.txt
============
- what is needed for reproduction
- document the create-release script
- mvncache info
docker changes
==============
- diagnostics on docker dir setup failures
- docker to reject if host and new uids clash (as they seem to on raspberry
Pis)
- Bump maven installed in the docker images to 3.9.16
JAR changes
===========
Exclude cloud credentials and log4j.properties
- from test jars
- from source distros
Copy hadoop-yarn/bin/FederationStateStore/MySQL/*.sql into the right place
for mvn test builds to *always* include the sql files; otherwise they only end
in the jar on the second run (i.e. a dirty build)
Tar changes
===========
Binary tarball gains bcprov-jdk18on (test scope, hadoop-hdfs) and
hadoop-annotations (provided scope, tools-dist and dynamometer-dist): Both are
already in LICENSE-binary and duplicate jars that ship elsewhere at the same
version, so this is redundancy rather than a version conflict.
Misc changes
============
* .gitignore: ignore /.claude/.

### Description of PR
### How was this patch tested?
### For code changes:
- [ ] Does the title of this PR start with the corresponding JIRA issue id
(e.g. 'HADOOP-17799. Your PR title ...')?
- [ ] Object storage: Have the integration tests been executed and the
endpoint
declared according to the connector-specific documentation? *Note:
Automated CI
testing doesn't cover all cases so manual testing with cloud storage
is still
required.*
- [ ] If adding new dependencies to the code, are these dependencies
licensed in a way that is compatible for inclusion under [ASF
