There are different ways to serialize data include Writable, Thrift and
Protocol Buffer. But I don't think it's necessary to serialize and transport
comparator through the wire. Because in both sides of the communication, they
should have the same code which include the comparator code. I think the
comparator is part of the code rather than the data.
