bq. I don't see an easy cross platform way either -unless the libraries
themselves return a version number. We could add that to the Hadoop-specific
codecs, but not to Snappy.
Add library version number and/or library file to native libraries are not in
the scope of this JIRA, create HADOOP-9164 for this.
