I created a patch that includes the two fixes suggested by [~ste...@apache.org]:
# BUILDING.txt gives directions on creating the symlink (instead of just saying
it doesn't work)
# Hadoop-Annotations pom has a Java 7 profile
Verified that it compiles on my Mac against Java 7 and Java 6. Verifies that
it also compiles on Linux against Java 7 and Java 6 (thanks [~kkambatl]!)
