Guo Ruijing commented on HADOOP-9650:
-------------------------------------

according to jetty
document(http://www.eclipse.org/jetty/documentation/current/what-jetty-version.html)
1. jetty 9/9.1 is stable
2. jetty team generally recommend using Jetty 9
3. jetty 9/9.1 uses java 1.7

Hadoop 3.0.0 is a good target version since potential incompatibilities either
API or behavior as Alejandro's comments.

for downstream projects, hadoop should warn downstream project to decouple
jetty dependency in case of break.
