Colin Patrick McCabe commented on HADOOP-11257: ----------------------------------------------- I guess I don't really see the problem. {{yarn-env.sh}} is for YARN; {{hadoop-env.sh}} is for the rest of Hadoop. Similarly {{hdfs-site.xml}} is for HDFS, {{yarn-site.xml}} is for YARN. Isn't that what you would intuitively expect? Maybe I am missing something here that makes this unintuitive. Or maybe we need to do a better job with documentation? > Deprecate 'hadoop jar' > ---------------------- > > Key: HADOOP-11257 > URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HADOOP-11257 > Project: Hadoop Common > Issue Type: Improvement > Reporter: Allen Wittenauer > > Given that 'hadoop jar' and 'yarn jar' work differently, we should mark > 'hadoop jar' as deprecated in 2.7 and remove it in trunk. -- This message was sent by Atlassian JIRA (v6.3.4#6332)
