Tsuyoshi Ozawa commented on HADOOP-11916: ----------------------------------------- [~jira.shegalov] good catch, I overlooked the other operating systems. I think many developers use Mac OS for Hadoop, so this fix is useful for them as a workaround. Can we create new JIRA to exclude BSD-like systems correctly? Or, should we revert it? > TestStringUtils#testLowerAndUpperStrings failed on MAC due to a JVM bug > ----------------------------------------------------------------------- > > Key: HADOOP-11916 > URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HADOOP-11916 > Project: Hadoop Common > Issue Type: Bug > Reporter: Ming Ma > Assignee: Ming Ma > Priority: Minor > Fix For: 2.8.0 > > Attachments: HADOOP-11916.patch > > > The test fails with the below exception.
