Aman Goyal updated HADOOP-12108:
--------------------------------
    Description:
If you have following directories in your LOCAL file system
/data/hadoop/sample/00/contents1.txt
/data/hadoop/sample/01/contents2.txt

and following directories in hdfs :
/data/hadoop/sample/00/contents1.txt
/data/hadoop/sample/01/contents2.txt
/data/hadoop/sample/02/contents3.txt

suppose you run the following hdfs ls command:
hdfs dfs -ls -R /data/hadoop/sample/*

the paths that are printed have a reference to local paths, and only 00 & 01
directories get listed.

this happens only when wildcard ( * ) character is used in input paths.
