1) There is no impact whatsoever for the NameNode / SecondaryNameNode, or DataNode themselves. 2) Only the client applications using Hadoop / HDFS can take benefit of these libraries, hence it makes sense to have them installed only on same nodes as the client applications. Also, what are the functions which are related to these libraries?
