7:00 - 7:30 Michael Scatz from UMD developed an open-source, Hadoop-enabled
pipeline for quickly, accurately, and cheaply analyzing human genomes in the
clouds for about $100 called Crossbow. More information here:

7:30 - 8:00 Andy Liu from IT-Discovery (it.com), a company located in the DC
area performing email analysis for clients using their specially designed
platform on top of Hadoop. The platform is composed of a dozen or so
map/reduce jobs.
