Eric, I apologize for the confusion. I caused it by doing some commits without discussing them first. The request was made (rightfully so) for me to undo them, and I agreed to do that. That is why MetadataReader is leaving. Again, I apologize for causing the confusion and potentially wasted work. If MetadataReader.java is useful and should be preserved, discussion can certainly be held to put it back.
