Point taken.  I'm totally on the same page as you and agree with
all of your suggestions.  Even though you weren't trying to say
anything about regexp, bcel, and oro, should they want to move out
of maintenance mode, they would all benefit from the actions you
described.  I would have sent this reply to you individually to
avoid inadvertently adding to any perceived noise, but I wanted to
voice my agreement that JXPath should not move out of J-C out
of perception that it would increase participation.  Especially
when code bases like oro will likely seek to move into a commons
environment.
