http://issues.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=32653 ------- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2004-12-12 23:52 ------- I am not going to bother to continue with this, Craig, but your comments are not correct, if I am right. I have learned not to try to keep something going if a committer decides otherwise. First, I use the sorts of "solutions" to the sorts of problems you were thinking of all the time. So, I did not assume they were not possible. They are rather standard in the literature. I am interested in doing things that these solutions cannot cover, because of undocumented details in the implementation of Java classes such as Map and HashSet, etc., which make many solutions too fragile (perhaps unwittingly) for serious use. Second, I do think the change I requested is fundamental but I do not think that any dependencies need to be broken to make the change. Sometimes there is a simple way to introduce fundamental architectural changes. In this case, all I think is required is a swithc for ActionForms going in and ActionForms going out and nothing needs to be broken at all, even if there might be a better long term solution. If you think this deserves reopening the bug, please do so. Then, I might be able to do something with Struts as it is in this area. if you don't think that it deserves reopening the bug, I would be interested, if you have time, in knowing why not. -- Configure bugmail: http://issues.apache.org/bugzilla/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the assignee for the bug, or are watching the assignee. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
