            Status: NEW

hi,

quite a while ago I asked about a feature to output a bean's class property in
XML. This was implemented in cocoon by addind the PropertySuppressionStrategy.
This worked fine until yesterday, when I wanted a bean's XML output to be
configured by a dot-betwixt file AND to output it's class property. This was not
possible caused by three lines of code in ElementRule class that where marked
with a TODO.
I think these three lines could be removed, because (hope I'm right) they are
only called if the class property is explicitly specified in a dot-betiwxt file,
and then it should never be supressed.
An alternative would be to call the PropertySupressionStrategy here instead, but
then perheaps a property specified in a dot-betwixt file would be supressed for
the user's surprise.
I'll attach a patch to this bugreport containing a TestCase that fails without
my patch to ElementRule applied, and returns without error with the bugfix
applied to this class.
Hope somebody will commit it.

regards,
Christoph
