Hi All, I'd like to propose that we do a release 1.7 of Digester. I'm willing to act as release manager for this.
The reasons for doing a release are: * one digester user has asked for it as there is a fix for something they are using, and they don't want to release their product with a snapshot * there's not likely to be any development activity on Digester in the medium future; digester is now very stable. You can find an up-to-date RELEASE-NOTES file here: http://people.apache.org/~skitching/digester-1.7/RELEASE-NOTES.txt The release plan is: * create an RC1 tag dir * build an RC1 tar/zip/etc and put it on people.apache.org * build an RC1 website and put it on people.apache.org * hold a vote; fix and repeat until vote passes * fix a few tab chars in files and unused import statements in code. I don't want to do this before voting as the trivial changes will make it more difficult for people to read the real diffs that have happened since the last release. * create a release tag dir * follow the release procedures as documented here: http://jakarta.apache.org/commons/releases/release.html So could you please make your mark here :-) -------------------------- [ ] +1 on simon preparing release 1.7 of digester [ ] +0 [ ] -0 [ ] -1 --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
