http://issues.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=39483 Summary: [compress] bzip2 - implement flush() Product: Commons Version: unspecified Platform: Other OS/Version: other Status: NEW Severity: enhancement Priority: P2 Component: Sandbox AssignedTo: commons-dev@jakarta.apache.org ReportedBy: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Not sure if this is possible within the bzip2 stream format... Some applications (e.g. interactive streams, block protocols) need to periodically force a flush of the compressed data stream so that the other side can see the data. I tried to do this by copying code from close(), but I end up with lots of CRC errors.
