Just my two-cents as I was the one opening that issue. I had to revert back to 1.4 as I had to release my stuff urgently (the maven release plugin won't allow for snapshots).
So no hurry on my part. I will get 1.4.4 with my next release (not before 2 month at least). I appreciate your responsiveness.
