Andreas Veithen commented on WSCOMMONS-278: ------------------------------------------- Saliya, The solution proposed in your patch is invalid. The reason is that DOOM's ElementImpl implements both org.w3c.dom.Element and OMElement. Your proposed specification of getNamespaceURI clashes with the definition of Element#getNamespaceURI. This means that DOOM would either violate the DOM contract or Axiom. BTW, why using the String literal "null" instead of the null value? > Need OMElement.getNamespaceURI() convenience method > --------------------------------------------------- > > Key: WSCOMMONS-278 > URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/WSCOMMONS-278 > Project: WS-Commons > Issue Type: Improvement > Components: AXIOM > Reporter: Glen Daniels > Assignee: Glen Daniels > Fix For: Axiom 1.3 > > Attachments: patch.txt > > > It is extremely *in*convenient to constantly have to type > element.getNamespace().getNamespaceURI() in order to simply get the String > namespace from an OMElement. :) We should add a convenience method > OMElement.getNamespaceURI(). -- This message is automatically generated by JIRA. - You can reply to this email to add a comment to the issue online.
