In Axiom 1.2.8, there were actually multiple issues with the way MTOM is handled; see WSCOMMONS-446, WSCOMMONS-485 and WSCOMMONS-488. Fixing these issues required some changes in the internal design of Axiom and it is therefore not possible to link the fix to a particular class or method.
