SSL+NTLM Proxy + NTLM Web Server returns garbage

It is my understanding that NTLM can not be used to authenticate with both the 
proxy and the webserver due to the fact that it actually authenticates 
connections and not requests.  Regardless, you should not be getting garbage 
because of NTLM in any circumstances.

Could you please provide a wire trace of the interaction, the code you are 
using to connect and sample output in the appropriate cases?
