Thanks Adrian. I did get it directly and have committed it to the repository in the xdocs directory. The website has been regenerated so it can be seen in its glorious html form.
http://jakarta.apache.org/commons/httpclient/authentication.html

I'm using maven b7 to generate the website. There are some warnings when running the site:generate goal, but its does fully generated the site. The ant tasks for anakia are old and should probablly be removed.

Jandalf.

Hi Jeff and co,
Jeff started an authentication guide yesterday and sent it through to me off
list, I've gone through and added all the relevant information I can think
of and have attached it (CC to Jeff in case the mail server decides not to
like attachments).

At this stage I can't be sure that it's valid XML since I haven't worked out
how to get the xdocs to build (maven dies with a null pointer exception and
ant can't find the anakia task, will look into that and put it on my list of
docs to write). I also haven't spell checked it yet but thought it was
worth sending it through to get any comments on whether or not it's too
in-depth etc.
