http://nagoya.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=24178 HttpRecoverableException doesn't preserve causing exception. Summary: HttpRecoverableException doesn't preserve causing exception. Product: Commons Version: 2.0 Beta 2 Platform: PC OS/Version: Linux Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: Other Component: HttpClient AssignedTo: [EMAIL PROTECTED] ReportedBy: [EMAIL PROTECTED] When HttpRecoverableException is thrown it looses the cause (I mean the getCause() method returns a null value). It's not very comfortable when you need more sophisticated error handling. The solution that works for me is to add HttpRecoverableException(Throwable t, String message) constructor and replace all reasonable occurrences of “throw new HttpRecoverableException(“some info”)” with the new one. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
