http://nagoya.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=25468 Unchecked response header length can cause HttpClient to loop endlessly ------- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2003-12-12 14:34 ------- Christian, I rarely buy 'birds do it, cats do it, real-file browsers do it' kind of arguments. There are also enough examples of stupid things that so called real-life browsers do. With all due respect I still do not like the proposed solution, so I respectfully remain -1. We are planning a complete redesign of HttpClient API in the next major release (currently dubbed as 3.0), with all major components (HttpConnection, HttpRequest, HttpResponse (yes, bloody HttpMethodno more ), Cookie, HttpParser. etc) defined in terms of interfaces and their respective plug-in mechansims. I do not think we should make an exception for HttpParser right now, just to end up having to provide backward-compatibility for HttpParser plug-in stuff later.
