Hi dIon,

If possible we'd like to make README, LICENSE, etc. have Windows EOLs in the generated .zip distributions. Currently we use site:generate and dist to build the HttpClient release. Any thoughts?

Thanks,

Mike

Eric,

Yes, we're using Maven, but it does not appear to handle this sort of
thing automatically. Any Maven experts out there know of a solution to
this one? I assume it can be done, but researching this one is pretty
low on my priority list :)

Mike,

The Ant task FixCRLF could come in handy here. Seems like this could
be
something that Maven takes care of, though, or at least it ought to,
if
that is what you're using to generate the release.

Improper EOL for text files on Windows

Hi Gary,

I have to agree Andre here. The files have EOLs, it's just that
Notepad doesn't
like them. The releases are built on linux and as such use the
standard linux
EOL when they are checked out of CVS.
If you know of a simple, automated solution to modify EOLs for the
.zip archives
in Maven, I will gladly accept it. If not, I do not think this is
something
that will be changed.
