[Latka] problems getting started

i installed the latka 1.0 alpha1 release an tried
getting started by using the provided samples.

the result is shown below!

as you can see above there are no error messages but
nevertheless the suite failed.

can somebody point me in the right direction for
getting started with latka - i was seeking the
archives but nobody asked this question before :(
