Dear Omo,

Those are the 372 members who have not paid as at March 31 2017, broken down by the groups (Education, Government, Others). They will be billed a minimum of 5% penalty depending on when they finally settle their invoices.

The revision being proposed herein by the Board is effective 2018 Financial year.

Thanks.

Sunday.

Thanks for this Chair. I will add my appreciation to the Board's prompt response to the issue Ayitey raised.

I am however a bit unclear on #3 - "Analyses of unpaid as at Q1 March 2017"

Does it mean that the percentages next to the groups had not paid invoices as at March 2017 or that these are figures for those that that paid?

Best wishes
Omo

    Dear Daniel,

My apologies, I thought I had responded to your request, but alas
I did not. I am truly sorry. Here goes ...

    1. Members who did not settle their bills as at Q1 March of each
    year.

            2014 - 34%

            2015 - 25%

            2016 - 20%

            2017 - 16%

    2. Revenue from Late penalties

            2014 - $98,329 [352 members] 3% of Total Revenue.

            2015 - $119,395 [215 members] 3% of Total Revenue

            2016 - $165,193 [340 members] 3% of Total Revenue

            2017 - $170,000 [372 members] 4% of Total revenue

    3. Analyses of unpaid as at Q1 March 2017

            Education & Research Institutions - 4%

Government and Government Agencies - 5%

            Other Resource Members - 91%

So, From 34% default in 2014, we are now down to 16% default in 2017.

I hope the above answers your questions.

    Kind regards ...

    Sunday Folayan.

    Chair, AFRINIC Board.
