My mistake. Independently of the misquote, I would like to apologize for being careless in associating your name with a reputedly unclean animal even if I "just" quoted (or misquoted) you. I assure you that it was not meant as a derogatory remark against your person. I hope that much was clear from my tone but I think it is important to emphasize that.
I am not being obsequious. It is easy for the reader to forget the context and take the text literally. I wouldn't want my name associated with certain animals regardless of the context.
