Just FYI but after all these discussions about signing keys I stumbled over the following website:

It's primarily designed to help people sign each other's PGP/GnuPG keys but it's also really useful when it comes to arranging key-signing events. Just give it a look, there's even an entry for the Con (probably too late to be useful but...):
