Hello, I am organising the 5th Apache Hadoop Get Together in Berlin (takes place on June, 25th). I have been talking to Ross Gardler during ApacheCon EU 2009 about the event - he suggested that I post some information about it here.
Since last year in June we meet every three months. We - that is a group of about 20 people interested in Hadoop, UIMA, Lucene and related projects. Details on the event are posted on upcoming.org: http://upcoming.yahoo.com/event/2488959/ In the past year there have been quite a few Apache events (Bar Camps, Meetups, User Groups etc.). Actually there were so many, I think it would be helpful to have one calendar*, where all (or at least most) of these events get posted. I think this list should be published somewhere at Apache. However, I have no idea where that should be done. Any suggestions?
