Great news. I was looking at OSGEO4W a few months ago for a workshop that I taught. Shapely is included, but it is still at version python-shapely: 1.0.14-1. It would be great to get an updated version in OSGEO4W (or nuke the old version).
If we could get rtree in there too, that would really give newer geospatial Python users a convenient way to start experimenting with these packages. On Windows, they could easily combine Shapely and rtree with gdal/ogr, etc. Thanks, David.
