Salve, the Neo1973 has an unpowered small size USB port. So for beening on the road, it could be nice to be able to use a USB flash drive directly.
Our first idea was to hack the Neo1973 and give some power to the port. Another idea would to solder some capacitor into the memory drive, maybe with a small swith. The capacitor(s) would be charged like the Neo, via USB power. I have one cheap USB flash drive with this http://www.samsung.com/Products/Semiconductor/NANDFlash/SLC_LargeBlock/8Gbit/K9K8G08U0M/ds_k9xxg08uxm_rev10.pdf Power consumption during operating max 35 mA Stand by 100 µA Maybe with a small USB connector to avoid the need for an adapter to use with the Neo1973? What do you think? Would this be a good hack?
