Basically we have to fix things in the following order:

1. make dfu-util work so that we can flash the rootfs from a Mac

1b. write a GUI tool that presents the list of available flash files and allows to download, cache and (re)flash them

2. update AJZaurusUSB (http://www.dsitri.de/wiki.php? page=AJZaurusUSB) so that the OpenMoko is recognized (and no Apple CDC Ethernet driver intervenes)

This is basically done (but not tested because step 1 is missing).

A short description is here: http://wiki.openmoko.org/wiki/ MacOS_X#USB or here http://www.oesf.org/forums/index.php? showtopic=24467&hl=

3. find out how to configure ssh, SMB, Bluetooth etc. for more sophisticated communication

4. find a better way to run OpenEmbedded natively on a Mac. I already had started the MacOE project (http://www.dsitri.de/wiki.php? page=MacOE) but did not yet succeed.

I know there are some MacOS users here. Let's get together and write
down some notes on using Neo1973 with your Macs. I started

I know that Linux guys (geeks ;) very often use Macs since it's a nice
and functional gadget. And I guess many of them would buy Neo1973
since it would be nice and functional ;) I think that after end-user
release there should be some solutions for connecting your Mac and
Neo.

Great! I will contribute as soon as I have my Neo...

Same here. I use a Mac pro for audio work so I can't use Linux as it doesn't have the same quality software. I currently have the dev environment running in Linux on Parallels desktop.

I have Bluetooth in the PC and I think this is how I'd connect the two as I don't like cables. Would be nice to have a sort of easy bluetooth activation method. Maybe have a sync option that enables bluetooth then disables is after the sync.
