The FM transmitters (SI471x) take digital or analog audio input and transmit, the SI4711 can even encode RDS/RDBS which is interesting.
The FM receivers (SI470x) receive the signal and output analog audio and SI4701 can decode RDS/RDBS and send that out an SPI port. The SI472x is both receiver and transmitter.
