Sure, you run off an SD card of whatever size you want. But we stray on to something I know well here - the minimal complete packageset for Fedora is much smaller than the "minimal" install. I have used Fedora since it was RH 8 (I am in fact an RHCE), and went quite far into studying the minimal complete packageset with silentcat a few years ago http://warmcat.com/silentcat in addition I did a cross-distro (used in real products) based around full Fedora rpmbuild http://octotux.org and in recent times, Fedora not only has full ARM host build but moves into cross -- and this is a Redhat initiative -- https://www.redhat.com/archives/fedora-devel-list/2008-March/msg00780.html https://www.redhat.com/archives/fedora-devel-list/2008-March/msg00785.html the pieces are coming into place for stock Fedora -- or other distros, it is simply that I know Fedora well -- on this kind of device IMO. This device is not an embedded device at all in the old sense of the word, it's a slightly behind the curve laptop and the overall trend is that appropriate distros will follow, cross being no impediment. - -Andy -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.7 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Fedora - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iD8DBQFH2tRQOjLpvpq7dMoRAuo9AJ9Qbv/es5TgQ3jmK8PJzCBZMR6D6ACfe+ix eBnt4MAuCRDTTs6zEBJMzAM= =A6T3 -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- _______________________________________________ OpenMoko community mailing list community@lists.openmoko.org http://lists.openmoko.org/mailman/listinfo/community
